When your baby finally sleeps through the night, when feeding becomes peaceful instead of a struggle, when those endless crying episodes fade away – that’s when you know you made the right choice. Our gentle pediatric chiropractic care addresses the root causes of infant discomfort, not just the symptoms.
Research shows that many babies experience significant improvement after just one treatment. We’re talking about real changes you can see and feel – less spit-up, easier latching, calmer babies, and parents who can finally get some rest.
Your child deserves to start life comfortable and healthy. That’s exactly what we help make possible.
Dr. Paul Roses has been serving families in the Hudson County area for over 30 years, including the diverse Palisade community. What started as a dream to help children as a pediatrician evolved into something even more impactful – helping babies heal naturally through chiropractic care.
Dr. Roses has extensive experience with the youngest patients, having provided care for infants at St. Clare’s Home for Children in Elizabeth, NJ. He’s witnessed firsthand how gentle adjustments can transform a baby’s comfort and health.
In a community where over half the families speak Korean at home and many are navigating parenthood in a new culture, we understand the extra concerns parents face. We take time to explain everything clearly and work with families to ensure they feel confident in their baby’s care.
Your first visit starts with a thorough conversation about your baby’s symptoms, birth experience, and any concerns you have. We want to understand exactly what you’re dealing with at home – the sleepless nights, feeding struggles, or constant fussiness.
Next comes a gentle examination designed specifically for infants. We check for spinal misalignments that may have occurred during birth or developed as your baby grows. These misalignments can interfere with the nervous system, affecting everything from digestion to sleep.
The adjustment itself uses incredibly light pressure – often no more than the weight of a dime. There’s no twisting, cracking, or anything that would cause discomfort. Many babies actually relax or even fall asleep during treatment.
Most parents notice improvements within the first few visits, though every baby is different. We’ll work with you to create a care plan that makes sense for your family’s needs and schedule.

Our pediatric chiropractic services address the full range of issues that affect infants and young children. Beyond colic and reflux, we help with ear infections, feeding difficulties, sleep disturbances, and developmental concerns that can arise as children grow.
For Palisade families, we understand the unique challenges of raising children in a multicultural environment. Many of our Korean-American families appreciate having a practitioner who takes time to explain treatment approaches and respects cultural preferences around healthcare decisions.
We also recognize that Palisade parents are well-educated and research-oriented – with household incomes averaging over $100,000, families here expect quality care backed by evidence. That’s why we stay current with the latest research showing how chiropractic care benefits children, from improved immune function to better sleep patterns.
Each treatment plan is customized to your child’s specific needs, age, and developmental stage. We never use a one-size-fits-all approach because every child deserves individualized attention.
Absolutely. Pediatric chiropractic care uses incredibly gentle techniques specifically designed for babies and young children. The pressure used during an infant adjustment is often compared to the weight of a dime – far gentler than what babies experience during birth or even normal handling.
Chiropractors have been safely treating children for over 100 years. Studies following hundreds of pediatric patients receiving thousands of treatments show excellent safety records. Dr. Roses has over 30 years of experience working with infants, including specialized care for medically fragile babies.
The techniques we use are completely different from adult chiropractic care. There’s no twisting, popping, or forceful movements. Most babies find the treatment relaxing, and many fall asleep during their sessions.
Many parents notice improvements after just one or two treatments, though every baby responds differently. Research shows that babies with colic cry significantly less and sleep significantly more after receiving chiropractic care, with some studies indicating that 9 out of 10 infants experience significant improvement in reflux symptoms.
For colic, parents often report longer periods of calm and better sleep patterns within the first week. With reflux, you might notice less frequent spit-up, easier feeding, and improved comfort during and after meals. Some babies show dramatic changes immediately, while others improve gradually over several visits.
We typically recommend starting with 2-3 visits within the first week to give your baby the best chance for rapid improvement. Then we adjust the frequency based on how your baby responds. Most families see substantial progress within 2-3 weeks of starting care.
Pediatric chiropractic care can help with a surprisingly wide range of infant and childhood issues. Beyond colic and reflux, we commonly treat feeding difficulties, latching problems during breastfeeding, sleep disturbances, and frequent ear infections.
We also help with torticollis (twisted neck), plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome), and general fussiness that doesn’t have an obvious cause. As children grow, chiropractic care supports proper development, helps with posture issues, and can even boost immune system function.
Many parents are amazed to discover that issues they thought were “just part of having a baby” – like constant fussiness, difficulty sleeping, or problems with feeding – can actually be addressed naturally. The nervous system controls so many body functions that when we remove interference through gentle adjustments, babies often improve in multiple ways simultaneously.
Pediatric chiropractic requires specialized training and completely different techniques than adult care. Not all chiropractors are trained to work with infants and children – it’s a specialized field that requires additional education and certification.
The examination process is tailored for babies who can’t tell us where it hurts. We look for specific signs of spinal misalignment and nervous system interference that affect infant development and comfort. The treatment techniques use incredibly light pressure and are designed around a baby’s delicate anatomy.
Dr. Roses has extensive specialized training in pediatric care and has worked with infants throughout his 30+ year career. He understands infant development, the birth process, and how spinal misalignments specifically affect babies differently than adults. This expertise makes all the difference in getting safe, effective results.
Chiropractic care is designed to complement, not replace, your pediatrician’s care. We encourage open communication between all healthcare providers involved in your child’s wellbeing. Many pediatricians are familiar with the benefits of chiropractic care for infants and support parents who choose this natural approach.
If your baby is taking medications for reflux or other conditions, chiropractic care can often help reduce the need for those medications over time as the underlying issues improve. However, we always recommend working with your pediatrician before making any changes to prescribed treatments.
We’re happy to communicate with your pediatrician about your baby’s progress and coordinate care when appropriate. The goal is always what’s best for your child’s health and development, whether that involves multiple healthcare approaches or focusing primarily on natural methods.
Your first visit will be thorough but gentle, designed to make both you and your baby comfortable. We’ll start with a detailed conversation about your baby’s symptoms, birth experience, feeding patterns, and sleep habits. Understanding what’s happening at home helps us provide the most effective care.
The examination involves gentle palpation to check for spinal misalignments and areas of tension. We’ll observe how your baby moves, holds their head, and responds to gentle touch. This tells us a lot about nervous system function and areas that need attention.
If treatment is appropriate, the first adjustment will be very gentle – most babies don’t even wake up if they’re sleeping. We’ll explain everything we’re doing and answer any questions you have. The entire visit typically takes 30-45 minutes, with most of that time spent on consultation and education rather than treatment.
